Wildfires pose an increasing threat to communities, air quality, and ecosystems worldwide. Our mission is to democratize access to open-source satellite detection data, turning raw geospatial feeds into intuitive, high-performance visual dashboards that anyone can understand—from local residents to environmental researchers.
Official Open Data Sources
Fire Information for Resource Management System. We process near-real-time thermal anomaly data from MODIS (Terra & Aqua) and VIIRS (S-NPP & NOAA-20) satellite sensors.
National Interagency Fire Center Wildland Fire Interagency Geospatial Services. Provides official perimeter geometries, contained fire locations, and incident acreages.
United States Environmental Protection Agency reporting. Supplies ground-level Air Quality Index (AQI) values and PM2.5 particulate monitoring readings.
Public Safety & Emergency Disclaimer
Wildfire Tracker is an informational visualization tool and is not an official emergency management dispatch system. Satellite detections may experience latency, cloud-cover occlusion, or sensor calibration delays. In the event of a active wildfire emergency, users must follow local law enforcement, 911 dispatch, and local county emergency management evacuation orders.

We strictly adhere to web publisher quality standards, ensuring ads do not interfere with critical safety information or map usability.
