Last Updated: October 17, 2026
At Wildfire Map & Tracker (accessible from wildfiresmap.com), one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document outlines the types of information collected and recorded by Wildfire Map & Tracker and how we use it.
If you have additional questions or require more information about our Privacy Policy, do not hesitate to contact us at privacy@wildfiresmap.com.
Log Files
Wildfire Tracker follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this as a part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.
Cookies and Web Beacons
Like any other website, Wildfire Tracker uses 'cookies'. These cookies are used to store information including visitors' preferences (such as light/dark mode selection) and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users' experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors' browser type and/or other information.
Google AdSense, DART Cookies & Advertising Policies
Google is a third-party vendor on our website. Google and its third-party advertising partners use cookies (such as the DoubleClick DART cookie and modern advertising identifiers) to serve contextually relevant and personalized advertisements to visitors based on prior visits to wildfiresmap.com and other websites across the Internet.
Third-party ad networks and ad servers may also use cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons in their respective advertisements and links that appear on Wildfire Tracker, sent directly to users' browsers. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. These technologies are used to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and to personalize advertising content. Wildfire Tracker has no access to or control over these cookies used by third-party advertisers.

EU User Consent Policy & Certified Consent Management (CMP)
In accordance with Google's EU User Consent Policy and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Wildfire Tracker works with Google-certified Consent Management Platforms (CMPs) that integrate with the IAB Europe Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF v2.2).
Visitors located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, and Switzerland are presented with a consent dialogue upon visiting the website. This dialogue allows you to provide, customize, or decline consent for the storage and access of cookies and the processing of personal data for personalized advertising and measurement purposes. You may revisit and revoke or modify your consent choices at any time through our cookie settings.
Web Analytics & Google Analytics 4
Wildfire Tracker uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to analyze traffic flow, geographic visitor distribution, and platform reliability. GA4 collects anonymized telemetry (such as device type, browser language, session duration, and pages visited). IP masking/anonymization is applied by default.
You can prevent Google Analytics from tracking your visits across all websites by installing the official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
Third-Party Privacy Policies & Browser Cookie Controls
Wildfire Tracker's Privacy Policy does not apply to other advertisers, service providers, or third-party web portals. We recommend consulting the respective privacy policies of these third parties for details on their data collection practices and opt-out instructions.
You can also disable cookies directly via your web browser settings. Comprehensive guides on cookie management are available on the official support websites for Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Microsoft Edge.
